PositiveI was at Bickford of Cedar Falls around lunchtime. The residents were sitting in the dining area eating, and the staff was very attentive to making sure that the residents got to the table, understood that it was lunchtime, because there were a couple of them kind of wandering around like they didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. I actually have a friend whose mother is there who has end-stage Alzheimer's, and I understand from her that they do very well with the memory care part of it. With i…

PositiveHaving moved in over the holiday two week timeframe There were a couple things that were a little delayed. Meals have been very good with a good variety rather than standard dishes that repeat all the time. Mom has enjoyed the meals. There is a reasonable variety of activities. She has liked all the staff that she has dealt with, and I've been very happy with them as well. The setting is lovely and it feels very homey. Her room was very nice and has a good set up making everything accessible. She even brought her s…

PositiveI toured this assisted living community, and I was very impressed. The staff was warm and welcoming. The building was clean and inviting, and the residents seemed happy and well-cared-for. It's important to feel your loved ones are in competent hands. I plan to bring my mom here.

PositiveBickford of Cedar Falls is a beautiful place, and everybody is wonderful over there, but it is apartment-type living, and my husband would be in there by himself with somebody just coming in to check on him, and that type of thing. However, he is diabetic, he is a double amputee, and he has neuropathy in his hands, so it is hard for him to pick up anything or do something for himself. He has so many different things that he need helps with, that assisted living is not enough for him. For people who need assisted li…

PositiveI like Bickford of Cedar Falls very much. Some of the other ones were just living sites, and I don't need a living site because I already have one. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. They answered questions and talked about possible arrangements. They were very good. The facilities seemed to be very fine. There is a difference in the size of the rooms. Some of them are quite large, and the other ones are very small, so there's a wide variation.
