Bickford of Spotsylvania

Bickford is a wonderful assisted living facility with great staff, great residents, and a wonderful community. The facility and grounds are well kept and I am thankful for A Place for mom for recommending this facility. My mom is now a resident at Bickford and is thriving. I can go to sleep well knowing my mom is in good hands.

A helping hand when we needed it most

Bickford is wonderful. The staff is great and the facilities are lovely and clean. My sister is very happy there. I would recommend it. The staff has been wonderful and the facility is really nice. It is clean and modern and very homey. My sister is very well taken care if and very happy there. Being able to have get dog has made a huge difference for her. I also really appreciate your help. On May 11, 2026, I visited Bickford Senior Living in Fredericksburg VA as I was researching the facility on behalf of a very hesitant parent. I was greeted by Whitney. Whitney was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the community, costs, etc. The staff was very friendly & the facility was very well maintained.

False advertising

Bickford started out on the wrong foot. We were promised so much care and attention, good food, people looking out for our family member. First 2 weeks he never got his meds, we were lied to and they didn't give him medicine. Always short staffed, no housekeeping as promised, we clean his room They do his laundry, have lost it twice. It's an excellent facility. The food is good, the facility is clean, and overall smells good. They were very helpful answering questions although some information was miscommunicated. The staff is helpful and has been trying to really do a good job.

Four months ago, my mother moved to The Bickford of Spotsylvania, Virginia. My family recommends the place. Mom is happy and well-tended too.
