Good place for Mom

My 98 year old mother has been a memory resident for almost 2 months. She is well cared for and has shown some weight gain while there that was badly needed. The meals are just right and nutrition a top perk. She is a patient that wants to find every exit. Despite the inclination to escape, the care team is very kind. She will do well under the care at Brookdale.

Overall I would recommend Brookdale to others.

Our experience was disappointing overall. We were initially told our loved one could stay in assisted living, but after he moved in, we were informed he needed memory care instead. While we agreed he did need memory care, we already had another facility in mind that we preferred for that level of care, so we felt misled during the admission process. What really stood out to me about Brookdale Broken Arrow was the people there. The activities coordinator, is hands down, phenomenal. I just absolutely love her. We took my mom back for a second visit, and she decided right there on the spot that that's where she wanted to go. Also, the proximity to where my brother lives made it an easy choice. They were very kind, welcoming, courteous, and loving. They just loved all over my mom when we were there. We had a meal there, but I do not recall what we had. I just…

Overall impressions, was that of a caring and cozy environment. Staff seemed very pleasant. I would recommend this place.
