Brookdale Brookfield Assisted Living/Crossings

My tour with [name removed] went very well. She is knowledgeable and answered many of my questions and offered additional tips. The tour of the facility was just what I needed to help me find a new home for my mom.

Brookdale was very nice. The person we spoke with was great and even met the senior manager. Rooms were nice and it is currrntly on our top list. I still have a few to look at.

I am looking for an assisted living facility for a relative. Brookdale seems like a very nice place. It is a smaller facility with a lot of nice amenities. The people were friendly. The residents seem happy.

The residents I saw seemed engaged and alert to what was going on. Nobody looked in distress or like they were being ignored. The staff were very interactive with the residents. Everyone seemed happy and well cared for.

Good staff, small food portions, no real activities to keep residents busy rooms adequate, no real hierarchy i.e. someone who has control over everything for family to talk to, staff overworked at times and underpaid, but are pleasant and try hard.

Paid for Care but did not receive it.

My mother in law spent almost 4 months at Brookdale in Brookfield, WI on Woelfel Road in assisted living in the summer of 2025 to fall of 2025. She usually participates in daily chair exercises. There were several activities planned that were cancelled due to lack of staff. Many times, my mother in law did not know about the activities since she was not mobile and needed help with transporting to the activity.
