Everyone at Brookdale Chanate was extremely helpful, kind, and competent. The facility was clean, quiet, tidy and met all expectations. A special shout out to [name removed] and her staff in the dementia care area. She is the best of the best and led the care for our sister. She is Brookdale's most valuable asset!

PositiveThe lady that took me on the tour was wonderful and showed me around, introduced me to residents, and took time to answer my questions. My only negative of the experience was I had scheduled my appointment ahead of time and shared the urgency of my situation in finding placement and when I showed up it was like a surprise that I was there. So I think there is a break in communication somewhere. For a facility of that size it looked like a wonderful place and if your loved one is used to being social I can see this …

She gave us a thorough tour and answered all our questions. The food smelled wonderful.! We are delighted that they had an apartment available for my mom with 24/7 access to staff.

The appearance of the facility is beautiful and the inside of the facility met all my expectations. It was a pretty emotional meeting for me as this is the first place that I visited, and they were very compassionate and patient with listening to everything…

I visited Brookdale Chanate. The outside is beautiful. It's all woodsy, like you're up in Tahoe in the summer. They had fresh-cooked cookies, so as soon as you walked in, you could smell the cookies. They had somebody who planned weekly activities for the residents. They'll take them to the winery, the mall, and they'll take them on a trip down to the coast. They had a Valentine's Day dance, and all the residents got to come to the dance. That place had a lot of activities for the residents…
