Brookdale Collin Oaks

Brookdale feels very homey. The staff were all very friendly. We were able to meet several residents and they all said great things about living there. My FIL will be moving in shortly.

My brother was at this facility for 24 years. Initially run by Marriot it was first rate, lots of activities, excursions, and he was extremely happy. Emeritus took over and immediately doubled the rates and decreased the activities but my brother still enjoyed what was offered. Brookdale raised the rates as well but excursions seemed to be a thing of the past and only a small percentage of the activities remained. BCO Best Staff Fall 2024-2026!

My father is almost 90 and he’s been at BCO since [date removed], right in the middle of Covid. He has had great care taken with him and has made many friends. The facility is always clean and well kept, the staff very nice, very friendly and knowledgeable.. the past year has been the best year yet; the executive director [name removed]is the most thorough, organized and personable Director. We are looking for a new place for my parents. My mom has dementia but my dads has not been happy where they are now. So hopefully he will like Brookdale. We have another tour set up for Saturday so they can visit and see what they think.

My Mom is very happy at Brookdale Collin Oaks. Take the parent with you to the community appointment visits so they will feel some control of where they will live and if they like the staff, residents, community, their apartment and the activities. My Mom is finally happy because we did this

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The rooms, some intended to be double, are good for one person but not adequate for two. I think most of these have been converted to single rooms but a year ago they still listed double rooms available. Staff is rather inattentive to residents in their rooms. Mold was on the ceiling in the library at one time. My last visit to my brother was in the activity room of the memory care unit.
