PositiveFriendly residents and staff
Regarding Brookdale itself, who it is average to very good. The staff is very helpful and on hand when needed. The activities at Brookdale are many and varied as are the trips and outings. Shopping and trips to the bank are very helpful 3 days a week. The food is average to very good. The apartment size varies depending if a one or two bedroom. Some one bedrooms have very large living rooms. Our two bedroom apartment has enough storage space. Large closets, large kitchen pantry.

I visited the assisted living facility of Brookdale Cushing Park. I think it has a fantastic setting and a park. The people that I met with, from sales to healthcare, were all very helpful. They have some great staff. I think they also had great programming for the people. I was able to talk with a few of the people who live there, and they also had great reviews. We actually haven't moved in yet so I am basing my comments on a couple of visits. I can say everyone is extremely helpful. The people are very friendly and welcoming. We had a delicious dinner one night and I think the apartment we got will be very good.

The details—while minor—are available online, but they weren’t always clear about what is included in each type of facility, such as independent living versus assisted living. At times, the columns of information felt confusing. We arrived on a Saturday, which may have contributed to some of the issues we experienced. There weren’t many people around who could answer questions over the weekend, so a few problems couldn’t be resolved until later in the following week, around Tuesday.
