PositiveThe registration process was easy, and not pushy. The facility is clean looking. The baseboards and windowsills are relatively dust free, as well as the common areas. I like that the trash is removed from resident's room twice daily. However, I do hope that the residents room housekeeping included dusting of the residents furniture, windowsill, and baseboards in their rooms. Every staff member has been kind, supportive, and attentive to my family member living there, as well as attentive and responsive to me. I'm p…

PositiveWe fell in love with Brookdale Danville Piedmont. It was all on one floor, and it had everything that my mother needs. The staff was very knowledgeable, and their activities were great for my mom. They have a salon, and they offer other things, like exercise. The place is clean, and everything is within walking distance, like restaurants, hospitals, and cardiologists. The bedroom is comfortable and a pretty good size.

The care that she got was not a standar…

They have respite care as well as extended care, so you could rent a bed and stuff if you want to do a short-term stay like for 30 days, instead of buying. They had nice little seating areas, but I don't think they had the capacity for the number of people that the other places I toured did. The place was very clean, I liked the layout, and everything is on one level. They have stations and people that were sort of dispersed among the residents, so they can keep an eye on …

PositiveIf you have a loved one that has reached a stage they need a community, this is better than a nursing home. Brookdale offers more for my loved one. My loved one know the staff well and has made friends, plus they have their own items in the room. My loved one has their own room with a shower. There was room to put a dorm size refrigerator in. The community is able to do linen and laundry service for my loved one, along with housekeeping. The community will come and get my loved one for meals and encourages activi…
