PositiveThis was a Virtual Tour. The sales associate was very pleasant and answered many of our questions. The facility looked a little dated but pleasant enough. It seemed they had basic but adequate amenities. Rooms appeared a little disappointing, lacking a kitchenette with sink or microwave or refrigerator. It appeared cable tv was not provided in the rooms, but I failed to follow up on that point. Brookdale refused to provide rates, which I found annoying and not standard business practice. The staff is topped notch, clean, my aunt checked in [date removed] and she loves it. She goes to the dining room for meals and never did that at other facility and says the food is good and loves to order from the choices. She has had several visitors in 2 days and all have stated how happy she is.

That could definitely improve the housekeeping. Mom wasn't complicit with going to the lunchroom. She could have used assistance at meal times to help you eat because she was unable to handle the utensils.
