The apartments are all private and they accept Medicaid after 18 months of self-pay. This was the reason we chose this community initially, but the amenities were even better after being settled in for over six months in terms of fun outings and daily exercise classes.

I'm in the assisted living facility of Brookdale Findlay, and I like the interaction with the other residents. My apartment is very small, though, and the food could be better. We have a fitness program where they have a few exercises. They also have crafts that you can do. They're short of staff, so most of the time you end up doing the cleaning yourself. There are a lot of things you can do in Findlay, in the area itself. They're very expensive, and they could do better on communication. They could…

Overall a great place and highly recommend it

We really did like Brookdale and wish it could've worked out better. Find what interests the family member is interested in and ask questions about that. My mother in law was motivated by meals, so we made sure we asked about that. I think they needed to offer more choices for the residents to pick from.

Brookdale Findlay is an amazing place with wonderful staff that care for Mom giving me a peace of mind I hadn't experienced in the last 6 years. It's clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and has so many amazing activities to keep Mom engaged! I will always recommend them to anyone searching for a place for their aging family members!

If you need assisted living this is the finest place to live.
