I enjoyed my tour and found it very informative. The facility was clean, cheery and the residents were engaged with the activities. The sales rep explained to us, my husband and I, what the staff does and what activities are like as well as the menu. We talked about health issues and how they work medication as well as any health appointments. I would highly recommend Brookdale! Very clean with friendly staff. I will say that Brookdale is about the people there more than anything. My sister is loving it!

I visited this facility

I went to see Brookdale Lakewood's assisted living community. It was lovely, and the woman who helped me was very good. I thought it was very nicely put together. The suites looked very spacious and comfortable. The facility was clean and cheerful. People looked quite happy, and I thought there was a lot for them to do. The only thing that I would think would be better is if there were advanced levels of care as someone needed it, but maybe that's not reasonable.

Looking for a place for my sister is probably one of the toughest things I've done. Brookdale made it an easier process than I expected. We were immediately greeted warmly. The tour was very informative and time was taken to answer questions. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and residents we chatted with expressed how much they liked living there. She was excited about moving there. I believe she will be happy.

We went to Brookdale Lakewood. It seemed clean. It was updated. The big thing is, it didn't smell. We really liked it. It's closer than where my loved one is, but for the money, she was going to have to have a roommate and share basically a room. There was no divider between them, and they had no privacy. I can't say enough good things about Brookdale Lakewood. I'm just sorry my sister had such a short stay there. She has passed away. I will recommend it to everyone I come in contact with that needs an assisted living home.
