PositiveBrookdale has rooms that include a kitchenette, living room, small bedroom, walk-in closet, and a bathroom with an easy to walk-in shower. It is a clean, pleasant, friendly place to live for its elderly residents. I especially liked its centralized patio.

Brookdale in Monrovia was wonderful! My mother enjoyed her stay (she was there for a couple months to recuperate after a bad fall). She really raved about the food and the staff, and enjoyed chatting with the other residents. She also really liked the outdoor area.

Let me start by telling our previous experience with Brookdale. My wife's parents were at Brookdale about 9 years until [time frame removed]. They complained about the food, the staff not being paid enough, short staffed. ( they tend to complain a bit ). Also they only have one elevator and it broke several times during their stay. Fast forward to 2025, when we toured the facility we noticed they had stepped up their game quite a bit. At the time we didn't have a lot of choices to relocate my Mom, because there wer…

Brookdale Monrovia was excellent. They have even invited me back to an event next week. They were wonderful. They have the best staff that you want to meet. When you got there, they had their team there welcoming you. They were the nicest people ever. They're top-notch. We were there at the end of lunch, but they let us have something.
