The food has the resident complaining. My mom says it is chicken and fish almost everyday. Which is not very good. The staff is terrific and so is the facility. The room and amenities are great and the activity director is wonderful.

Once [Name Removed] was admitted into Brookdale, I would not let me see home for 4 days. When they did have me come in they said he had been acting aggressively. When I went to his room, he was crying and said he thought I had died. The next day they shipped him off to a behavioral hospital to adjust his medications, which was what they told me they could do at their facility. I assumed River Vista was like any other hospital, but found once again I was not allowed to see him in that facility until they okayed it. …

Positiveour Family's Experience at Brookdale
I didn't like the fact that his showers were not consistently on their scheduled days. The aides sometimes were in short supply. Most of the time they were apologetic for this. They offered a lot of activities - but my husband did not participate in them. Also, he did not like the food. All in all, the personnel were very easy to work with and they did their best. One thing I am not happy with is that I have been getting a bill for the month of December. His last day was Nov. 27th, when he fell, had 2 brain bleed…
