PositiveIt's beginning to feel like home
I'd say overall the staff is attentive and do a good job of caring for my mom. The activities have really seem to help my mom with her depression in that she has to get up from bed everyday, so she’s not laying around thinking negatively all the time. She has a few ladies that protect her there, so she's made friends. It's been the best thing for her and the entire family.

Our experience has been great so far. The staff is very friendly and competent. The place is beautiful, clean and bright. The food is delicious, fresh, and the portions are just right. They were the only place willing to work with us on the cost and services. Our mother is well taken care of and safe. They offer her many activities, not all are things she can do or understand but she enjoys sitting with the other residents and participating when she can.

I would have given them a 5 a few months ago, however there's been some changes with the director and a nurse I really liked. With the changes I'm taking a more conservative perspective, so a 3 or 3.5 currently. That could change if the replacements live up to my expectations, but I'm not holding my breath.

My wife is a resident of Brookdale North Glendale. They are all considerate, compassionate, and loving to the residents. The food is good. They have some good staff in the kitchen. They don't actually have a menu, but if the resident doesn't like what they're having at that time, they will offer them some other options. She doesn't participate in too many activities, but they have activities all day long, seven days a week, and they do have an activity director, which is very good. The common ar…
