We visited Brookdale Pocatello. I like everything. The lady who took us around gave us a tour and showed us the rooms, which are very good size, and all the people are very friendly. The residents all seem to be happy, and the staff, too. They have a little refrigerator and a freezer. They're smaller, but they work, and they supply the microwaves, otherwise, you take your furniture, which is fine because that's what you're supposed to do. It was a good tour. I like the location of Brookdale Pocatello. The views are nice. I like the tour director. She was very cordial. The community spaces are very friendly. I did not like the carpets on the floor. We absolutely wouldn't do that. Also, they have a lip on the shower so it's not a walk-in shower. I talked to her about that and said "How are they going to get into the shower?" My mother was found on the toilet unresponsive and almost died there now they want three times the money and $[removed] a month to take her dog out to poop. We chose the Brookdale Pocatello for my dad because it was bright and clean, and the people were very helpful. The staff is very conscious of his care and extra care, and they seem to be working well with his doctor. I haven't had the food, but my mom is with my dad, and they seem to enjoy it. They do have church services that he attends, they have music, people come in and play music and sing, and they have outings.
