Brookdale Salem

Outstanding Experience.

I would give Brookdale a 10 out of 10 stars. The apartment size was perfect for my Mom. The staff were awesome. They were very attentive and compassionate to my Mom and me. Everything was very clean and the food was good. I even received a phone call a couple of weeks ago asking how my Mom was doing. I highly recommend Brookdale Salem!

Brookdale is an amazing place with amazing people who work there. I would recommend it to anyone. I can't say enough about the people that work there. They went far and above to help me and my Mom.

Brookdale Salem Ohio is not a bad place, but it's more like a nursing home than assisted living (in my opinion). The building was OK. The rooms weren't bad, but very crowded and small. I didn't want to stay there. The food was not that good. For lunch, they had a hot dog and baked beans. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and answered all the questions that we asked. While we ended up choosing a different location for mom, the decision was based more on geography than other factors. Brookdale would’ve been our only other choice, as they demonstrated great care and attention to the residents. Take a tour to see the kind of high bar they set. Our tour was unscheduled, so we got a “real” taste of a typical day. They are doing great work at Brookdale!

Incredible - caring, intelligent, and attentive

This is the best facility and people I have ever seen or heard of, in a sea of bad stories and examples, Brookdale is a wonderful, responsible, caring, outlier. I feel incredibly fortunate to have my mom at this amazing facility, and I am a PhD executive with expertise in healthcare. There are few, if any, like Brookdale and they truly care. Brookdale Salem Ohio is like a ranch facility. Everything was on the first floor, which was nice because my mom couldn't walk very well. So, that's perfect. No steps to worry about. They are more casual there because as soon as we pulled into the parking lot, the gardener greeted us, and asked us who we were and why we were there.
