CriticalUnderstanding memory care
In Memory Care I think they try their best. It's too early in the process for me to be really informative but I do think it's important to check in every week. Make sure laundry has been done. Hair cut. Nails trimmed etc. Still learning the process and I have nothing to compare it to so it's hard to say. Definitely tour the place and go with your gut. Rooms are good size, showers are good. Space is good. Dad loves the food.

Staff is Very caring and making my mom feel like family. Very encouraging to her when she had a bout of depression. Keeping me informed when she was having a hard time. Always calling her by name. Love the activities and family dinners or lunches for special occasions /holidays. I do worry about turnover and staffing issues they struggle with, but I know they aren't paid the highest wages.... I think the industry as a whole needs to pay more to keep good staff. But trying to keep rents affordable makes it hard.

We toured Cadence Huntersville. There were a lot of things that I liked about it, but I liked the friendliness of the staff. I liked the cleanliness of it. I liked all the activities that they had there. It just seems like a very family-orientated community. We did get a chance to meet the chef, and we were very impressed with the chef. We looked at the studio plus the kitchenette.

Cadence Huntersville is a nice place. We like it. The room is nice and clean. It has its own AC unit and its own bathroom. It is fine for what my mom would need. The staff members were friendly, nice and knowledgeable.
