The Calhoun Convalescent Center was awesome. I actually liked it better than the other facility. I thought that the people were more outgoing and friendly. The lady who gave us the tour had been doing this job for 2 to 3 years. She felt more comfortable and confident than the lady at the other facility. We only saw one room because I believe the others were occupied. The rooms were basically the same. They were on the smaller side because it is a nursing home. They had their own restroom, but it did not have a show…

My wife was at Calhoun Convalescent Center. They are fully staffed. They have exercises, games, doctors, and nurses. It’s a topnotch place to me, but we could not afford it. The rooms were clean. They offer quite a bit of activities. They are really good and I would highly rate this place. The staff is really efficient and steadily cleaning the place every day.

When I visit nursing homes, I have to be specific about the safety of my clients. I would not place any of my clients here. I've read enough reports from 2008 to Feb 2011 to know that they need alot of work. Their are a number of deficiencies to consider from nutrional, dietary, mistreatment, environmental and more. It looks nice, but needs more work and better employees.
