CriticalThe facility seemed nice when we got there. My mother was placed there for 90days. Her staff the 1st 20 days were blissful. A good bit of the nurses needed attitude adjustments after those days to where my mother, who is not very verbal had to tell them that they are not very nice., and it went downhill from there. They began to give her meds and could not explain what they were for why the color changed, etc. Seems like when you are a more verbal patient and you speak up for yourself they began to care less. PositiveCamelot of Broussard has been very good for my mother-in-law. The staff are all very involved and very nice. She stays in a nice one-bedroom apartment with a little kitchenette, a big bathroom and a big closet. The food there was awesome. She said she should quit going to dinner, because she’s gaining weight from all the food. They play games like bingo. The dining room seemed a bit crowded; the apartments were fine. There seemed to be a fair amount of activities. One negative: it didn’t have any patios or garden areas.
