My friend lived in Caring Hands Assisted Living for two months. The home was clean and always smelled nice, but it's best for people who have Alzheimer's that don't know about what's going on. If your mind is still sharp, there are no activities there. Nothing to do. They just put them in the living room in front of the T.V. all day. The food was OK, but they gave them very small portions and it's more like what you would see in a daycare. They give them little plastic cups to drink out of.…

This was a home setting and this was not what we were looking for for my loved one. We wanted a different environment and somewhere that my loved one would have more privacy.

Could not have found a better place

Everything about Caring Hands is top notch, we could not of found a better place for our loved one. She is thriving there more then she ever did at home. The staff members are awesome and it just feels like home. She is much happier and social, they do not have a ton of activities due to the progression of the memory loss, but the staff still keep them engaged. The owner called me to confirm our appointment later in the week. We decided to visit sooner so my sister in law and I met with the owner Thursday afternoon. I currently have my mother in Caring Hands and she likes it and I feel very happy with the choice. It is a small residential home that has a maximum capacity of about 15 residents, both in private and semi-private rooms, and mostly women. Because it’s smaller, it feels homey and most of the staff have been there for a long time. We visited it initially three times before we committed, and never came announced. Highly Recommend this Residential Care Home!

My mother has been living in Caring Hands about a year. We looked at the institutions in the Kingwood area, and found this small, residential care home to be much better. It recently changed ownership, but most of the staff is stable, and they are spending money to upgrade the facility. The wife of the couple is a registered nurse, and monitors the healthcare closely.
