Being sight unseen it's perfect for me. I love the location, staff is very helpful Your advice and help was wonderful

I am/was a resident of this facility

I moved into the independent living community of Cedar Woods in Branford yesterday. I haven't been here long enough to really know yet, but some of the reasons I liked it were that it's extremely clean and all the people who live here seem very happy. The management has been excellent. The apartment was completely redone before I moved in, with new paint and the carpet cleaned. It was really in great shape. It seems like a nice, well maintained facility. The few residents that I saw seemed comfortable and content.

I visited this facility

We went to see Cedar Woods, but we didn't have the money to do it. We liked it a lot. The coordinator, Brenda, was extremely nice and very good. Everybody was very respectful and welcoming. The company ended up taking the price down from what they were asking. We were very happy with the place. The rooms were fine and very good sized, and the little kitchenette was nice. The dining area was beautiful. All the rooms, like the activity rooms and the library, were great. Parking was good.

What we like the most about the community is that the staff are friendly and so helpful. The community is also clean and we would recommend Cedar Woods to other families.

Manager is unprofessional

I did not feel safe, or that privacy was maintained around the maintenance manager and found some interactions unprofessional. I have raised concerns multiple times with both managers and it’s been dismissed. This raised concerns about the general manager’s hiring and supervision decisions. She seems unfit for the job.
