Best decision I've ever made regarding care for my dad.

I've been very happy with Arbor Terrace Fairfax. The main thing I like is they have two separate wings, one for higher functioning residents and one for lower functioning residents. Since my dad is higher functioning, that was one of the biggest selling points for us, that he wouldn't solely be with people at the end stages with limited functioning. The staff are very sweet and caring. I like that I can just pop in any time I want - there's no appointment necessary to visit. And he always look good when I come in. …

My mom is currently in Arbor Terrace Fairfax. It's all memory care and all of the staff are very responsive, very accessible, and very prompt in returning phone calls. The activities staff is excellent too. The physical layout is an open concept so it's very light and bright. My father was at Arbor Terrace Fairfax. They were very much aware of getting them all involved in the community. If they were in their room, they would make sure they would go and get them and bring them out into the area. If they didn't know or realize activities were going on, they would make them aware of the activities and bring them out to be social. This community is excellent. I would recommend to go there. The staff are excellent also. I cant say enough positive things about this place.

Looks and Feels Like an Upscale Lodge or Hotel

The staff has turned over and I know the new director coming in and I'm happy with the change as well. I highly recommend this community. The entire family has been impressed with the community. The staff was always available and kept me in contact with what is going on with my loved one and this is impressive to me. They allow virtual calls and they are flexible in keeping in contacting with our loved one, one per resident per day.

The community has been a fine fit for my mom. It is cleaned well, she had good meals, and activities to try out. Everything has been fine when I talk to her.
