I would strongly discourage anyone from placing a loved one in this facility. From the moment we arrived, the condition of the building was unacceptable. There was a persistent smell, dirty floors, filthy baseboards, and bathroom floors that were sticky and clearly not being properly cleaned. The entire place feels outdated and poorly maintained. This is the second review I have written. I use one star because 0 or minus 1 are not available. I mentioned in my last review that I felt trapped in my family (a typo or spell check error) this is nothing even remotely like a family. I meant facility. I have been told that I may come or go as I wish. The doors are locked but each staff member has a card that opens the front and other doors. I may not have a card. Do not recommend. Our father was there for rehab as a dementia patient with a foley catheter after a hospital stay. After a few days Medicare cut him off and we lost two appeals (other professionals in the field said they could have tried harder to help us win the appeals), so we were on self-pay waiting for a urologist appointment because he couldn't go back to his memory care with the catheter. I visited this facility

I toured Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center. I like the fact that when I first walked in, it looked clean. I like the rehab area. All we have gone on is a tour so far. We haven't seen inside any other room because all the rooms were full the three times that we went. The staff seemed friendly, and the people seemed to be interactive with each other. They had an outdoor space. They had games that they were playing in the dining room. The dining room is where the interaction of the residents was taking…
