I visited this facility

I visited the assisted living facility of Corcoran House in Clinton. I think it seemed like a great place. In conversation with the director there, they just didn't feel like they were going to be able to meet the needs of my mom. Other than that, it seemed like the facility was really nice. The interactions I had, although limited, were all very positive. I appreciate that they were very honest up front that they didn't think they could meet the level of care that my mom needed. I toured Corcoran House. All they could supply was a studio, and I was looking for a one bedroom. The facility was nice, and the girl that I spoke with was really helpful. They just didn't have what I was looking for, which is a one bedroom and a Hoyer lift. The people looked happy. The facility was clean, and the employees that I spoke to were all happy. Our loved one's experience at Corcoran House was poor.

This was the first community our loved one lived in. It was okay. The facility was nice enough and clean. I liked it alright, but when compared to where we ended up next, they didn’t give nearly the level of care. He wasn’t used to it at all and got extremely paranoid, started developing early dementia, and became extremely depressed. And it was clear that we needed to move him somewhere else.

The value is excellent and the staff members would be a ten out of ten. The care services at this community especially during this year have been extraordinary, and the activities are excellent. The rooms seem to be just the right size and are very comfortable. We highly recommend this community.

A friendly, caring environment that provides many opportunities for residents

The community is always clean. Every time we visit, my mother's apartment is always clean and the bathroom is always clean. Very high marks for cleanliness. Some of the staff is a bit friendlier than others, but they are all great with the residents. The care could be improved for the higher needs residents. The staff is really good about engaging the residents in activities. If a resident does not want to participate, they are good about encouraging them to do so in the future.
