PositiveI can't say enough about the incredible care my dad received at the Cottages! He was in there twice for rehab after falls, so when it was time to decide where to place him permanently, it was an easy decision. Because of the concept, he had the same staff most of the time. The 8-10 residents that lived in his cottage were a constant (mostly), as well. From the moment he arrived, the entire staff treated him with genuine kindness, dignity and respect. It was clear that everyone from the nurses and aides to the admi…

CriticalWe chose the Cottages because it had a 5/5 star review on the list from the hospital, but were greatly disappointed. She was there to gain strength while in a brace for a compression fracture in her back. The first day she used the pulled cord in the bathroom to ask for assistance. It didn’t work and I had to find someone to help. It remained broken for over 5 days. While in the facility she had an abscessed tooth. Antibiotics were prescribed quickly but were not given to her as instructed. They should have been fi…

CriticalIf you value your family member do NOT leave them here. When we first walked in we were pleasantly surprised. No horrible smell and the cute cottage look. But soon after that we found out the truth behind it. My Mom went in for PT after surgery for a broken hip. After explaining that my Mom is a brittle diabetic , has severe anxiety and a fall risk due to some type of neurological problem that we’re trying to get worked out. We were told we can have someone stay with her around the clock. I stayed during the day an…

PositiveMy wife was in Cottages Of Lake St Louis for two weeks. It was a very nice community and a nice setup, and they had good people. The food was very good. They had good variety and it's well prepared. I didn't eat it, but my wife liked it. Maintenance and housekeeping were very good. All she did was physical rehab. Value for money was probably average. it was fairly expensive for what we got out of it.

PositiveMy dad stayed in Cottages Of Lake St Louis for a week and a half. It's excellent. It was clean. There's plenty of space. It's not overcrowded. Staff to patient ratio was good. The staff was good. The food was good. Dad had no complaints. Upkeep was fine, but the air-conditioner was broken the whole time we were there. I don't know if that's in their control or not.
