We were looking for a safe and welcoming place for my sister and after touring 5 other facilities found Courtyard at Lakewood! Four months into her stay, I can say it has been THE BEST selection we could have ever made. It's so friendly, clean, festive during holidays, continuous activities, very good food service and an extraordinary staff. It's safe, a great location and an overall amazing experience.

We were greeted warmly and given it to her of a couple of beautiful apartments. Love the way The apartments, face outward and have lots of light.We liked the vibe and the fact that the residents are younger than at most other facilities, as we are. It’s a little far from where our friends and Connections are, but may be a possibility in the future. Love the courtyard, but it does look rather bare… possibly due to the wind tunnel effect that our Guide mentioned! Otherwise, the facility was beautiful!

The staff are excellent, readily available, and helpful when you need assistance. Meals are included in your cost of living with 3 meals per day plus snacks available when needed. There is always a variety in meals, food is fresh, hot and always served in a timely manner. This ILF focuses on community and you feel that in the environment as soon as you walk in - there are tons of daily activities for all kinds of different interests, various groups of folks chatting or walking their pets, and even welcoming committ…

The guide was very helpful and gave us a lot of information and time. She was not just trying to make a sale, but give us helpful information. The facility was clean and maintained. We had a good lunch. Residents were friendly and shared their experiences. The apartment we looked at was beautiful and did not have an institutional feel to it. There were many things to participate in.

I just moved in and was greeted by all the other people with kindness. The sales director was super helpful during the lease confirmations and helping me find the right apartment. The manager of community greeted me so nicely and the entire staff has been so helpful

Do not recommend

We lived here from [dates removed], and our experience was extremely disappointing. One example of the ongoing maintenance issues was the laundry facilities. The washer in the north-wing laundry room was broken, while the dryer in the south-wing laundry room was out of service. It took a very long time for management to replace the machines, so residents had to wash their clothes in one laundry room and carry wet laundry to the other end of the building to dry it.
