I'm at Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home Community. I like it. It's very nice, and it's very comfortable. The people are friendly. There is a lot to do. The staff is great. They have a theater. They have what they call the Avenue of the Arts where you can go in and work on anything you want to work on like I work on my paint. They have a library, and they have a game room where you can play cards and play games like rummy cubes and dominoes. They also take trips. I have two bedrooms, two bathrooms…

I visited this facility

We visited Cross Keys, which is a very good community. It has more of a hospital setting compared to the other community we picked. The person who assisted me was in charge of the dementia part of the community, she's very good, and accommodating.

The Brethren Home (Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home Community) was very clean and the staff is very courteous, professional, and attentive. The rooms were very well-kept and nothing was amiss. My mother was there for short term rehab. They had programs where some young people came in and did some course presentation. The grounds are beautifully kept and it's very peaceful and inspiring for healing. My mother also said the food is very good.

I can’t find anything wrong with Cross Keys Village. They’re friendly. The staff is excellent. The place is very clean, well kept, and orderly. There’s a lot going on all the time, like walking and hiking, games, speakers, artists, and all kinds of field trips. They can improve on food and have more options. I’m very happy to have found it.

Right now I am not pleased with Cross Keys Village, but there has been some new management taking over, so I am hopeful for it to get better. The rooms were excellent, but the staff left him fall several times which was uncalled for. He has severe dementia, and at this moment I am not pleased, but hopefully things will get better. They have all activities imaginable, but he has not participated in any activities since June. As far as the rooms, it's very clean, but I just expected a little better care.
