This place is run down. They are way understaffed. Residents are not receiving proper care. Call lights do not got answered promptly. My mother in law has waited for a hour sometimes just for the light to be answered. They have "emotional support" dogs that are brung in by the staff that pee and poop everywhere and its not properly cleaned up. I don't recommend bringing your family member here!

When my father was recently in need of care and treatment in a skilled facility, my mother, myself, and one of my sisters visited several nursing homes in the Northern RI area. We selected Crystal lake based on cleanliness, warmth and professionalism of the staff to whom we were introduced, and the administrator's availability to answer questions prior to my father's placement there. This place is always understaffed. Some staff are over-the-top great! The good staff are far overworked. Because it is so bad to work there, they can't keep good staff so that have a lot of pool staff. They don't treat the patients very well, kind of borders on neglect. My family member has no movement from the neck down, and the staff take forever to come to the patients when they put the "light" on, if they don't just turn the light off.
