PositiveCompassionate Care During One of Life’s Most Difficult Times
My mom spent the final chapter of her life at Danbury Westerville, and I’m truly grateful for the care and compassion she received. She was bedridden, so we didn’t experience the many activities and amenities available to residents, but my experience with the facility was very positive. We also had a wonderful experience with her separate hospice team, who worked alongside the facility during this difficult time. I would say a 5. Reasons: *EVERYONE is kind and helpful. Even as time has progressed I am still feeling that kindness. I see that they are helpful with my mom, and ANY issue that arises. *NURSES and the medical care staff have been very attentive to mom's medical needs that we clearly were not able to address as they should be. Administration excellent, environment/activities are wonderful, building great, room is very nice! Food pretty good. Therapists great..... However, the most important people, the daily caregivers, aids, nurses are 2/3 Language barrier, do not come for about 1 + hrs when button pushed. Not always nice, it's a shame, but it's at every place.
