awful place to live

if I could give this place 0 stars I would!! administrator is awful! my mom and I toured this place she was very rude to her staff and only cared about when I would put a deposit down. other residents in the building told my mother they never do activities that are planned and they never get to go out on trips planned. rumors of shutting this place down and I agree it should.. building is outdated and nothing was clean

Darby House was not a bad facility. It was clean and presentable the suites were large with bedrooms and living rooms and kitchenettes. Way more space than my uncle needs. It was old and run down in places but they were remodeling parts as needed and appropriate.

The staff is wonderful at the Darby House - from the manager to the cleaning crew. There are activities and the residents are very happy there. My Dad was a resident for four years until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had to be moved to a nearby nursing home. As my Dad's POA, I had many dealings with the staff, which gets a A+ rating. The rooms are large with big windows to let in lots of light. Awesome staff at the Darby House

My Dad was 87 years old when he moved into the Darby House after my Mom passed away. He loved living there. He found the staff very friendly and helpful and enjoyed having some independence, although he could no longer drive due to vision problems. My Dad lived at the Darby House for 4 years and had to move after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. I had many dealings with the Darby House manager and staff during my Dad's time there and highly recommend it. The staff is awesome!

Darby House is a great choice for the money!

My father moved into Darby House in 2014, when he was 87 years old. He loved the staff and was very happy there. Unfortunately my Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer 4 years later and had to be moved to a nursing home. As my Dad's POA, I had a lot of dealings with the manager and staff at the Darby House and they were wonderful! I highly recommend Darby House!

We toured this community for care and they need to update everything about the community.They offer a nice variety of the meals. The community is nice and clean with a good environment for someone. They do offer a good list of activities. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.
