Kind, caring, communicative! A true family home atmosphere

My Mom wasn't eating not because of the quality of the meals but because she wasn't eating much of anything! But they made special things for her that she either asked for or they saw that there were certain things she would eat) My Mom wasn't interested in any activities. She was suffering from dementia when she moved in there. And when I was visiting it was never activity time. Unfortunately my Mom passed away about year after moving in to Darnestown Gardens. A loving experience

My 97 year old mother spent the last year of her life at Darnestown Gardens Assisted Living. She suffered from late stage dementia and physical disabilities. The caregivers at Darnestown Gardens were loving, caring and so capable. They called my mother "Nana" because that's what her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her. Great staff!

My mom is not in any condition to participate in the activities they have but I have seen the other residents enjoy seated exercise and other things. The relief I personally feel having my mother at Darnestown Gardens has been a God Sent. I cant thank A Place For Mom enough for the recommendation and help

Great place

We chose Darnestown Gardens because of the convenient location to my home and also the care I could see that they were giving other residents when we took our tour. Everyone was extremely friendly. The owner herself was a nurse and had dealt with geriatric patients in other prior employment before she started this which was a big plus. I would definitely recommend to other families.
