CriticalDiscovery Village should not have accepted my mother; they were unable to care for her and in fact kicked her out. My mother's last days were more difficult than they should have been because Discovery. They were more interested in taking our money than in doing right by her. It was very disturbing and disappointing.
★★★★★
CriticalThe staff are friendly and helpful and the facility is very pleasant and comfortable. There are plenty of activities to keep residents occupied. The food is ok but not as good and the choices more limited than The Fountains, where [name removed] stayed prior to Discovery Village

PositiveCommon areas are spotless, it smells great. Food is decent, and there is a great selection, almost like a small restaurant. There are a ton of activities for anyone who wants to participate. Every night they have a movie an a theater on premises. They have live music all the time. They encourage family to come in and participate in all the activities if they want to. 90% of the staff is amazing, there are rare exceptions, but I think you would get that anywhere. They seem to be let go if they are complained about. …

PositiveThe building and the grounds are very nice, rooms are clean, no smell, except for the food, which smells like a restaurant. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

PositiveMy mother has been very complimentary of all the staff. She has been impressed with their timeliness in responding when she needs assistance, and also with how thoroughly they accomplish tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, and showering assistance. She has been enjoying the meals very much, as well as the dining staff. She said that they almost immediately learned her preferences.

The place is very clean. The elevators are operational. The residents seem to be very content, and they do intermingle. It was an old hotel that they renovated. The staff seems to be very professional and very dependable. They pick up the trash and clean some of the rooms as required. The person I visit occasionally gets food from there, but b…
