PositiveSpacious facility
The apartments are roomy and lots of space in the facility. Opportunities for activities however the doors lock too early and it's hard to get someone to let you in after 4:30 or earlier PM. Spacious facility.

PositiveWe are going to move into assisted living at Eagle Ridge of Decatur. It's a very nice place. They have anything you ever need there. You could move in and never leave the building if you chose not to. We are going from a four-bedroom-three-baths, so it's going to be a big change for us. The one time we were there, they fixed us two plates, and we brought them home and eat them, and the food was good. They seemed to have two menus where you can get food, and then there was a third one for sandwiches. The s…

CriticalStaff is very uncaring. You can never talk to anyone. When you call it usually goes to voice mail and never get return calls. I was unable to see my parents so I relied on staff to communicate with me. They told me my parents place was nasty, filthy, and just plan gross. When I went into see it for the first it was none of the above. Office manager is unprofessional and even called me a liar. Things need to change with how staff treat residents and their families

CriticalThis was a very nice community. The community was a little more open than what I felt would be good for my loved one with memory care needs.

CriticalMy mom was at Eagle Ridge of Decatur assisted living. I would not recommend that place to anyone. My mom got neglected. They never checked on her. They wouldn't even wheel her down to the dining room to eat. My mom lost 40 pounds in two months of living there. Her apartment was consistently dirty. The floor was so bad that if you walked into it, you stuck to the floor. She's incontinent, and they would leave her lying in bed, lying in her feces. So she ended up with a terrible UTI and ended up in the hosp…

PositiveEagle Ridge of Decatur was in a nice location. They're very friendly. The staff said they're like a family there and a lot of the residents and the staff were friendly. I could have pictured myself living there. The least I liked is that there were no levels of care. It's assisted living, and then you would have to move on. The room had a sink and a kitchenette. Their facilities were very nice, but they're higher priced. They had a nice activity program. It was very welcoming and homey.
