Positive[name removed] took me through their assisted living facility. No complaints about her. The big negative there for me was no nursing bed or anything else in the room. No TV, no furniture. You have to supply it all yourself. I have chosen for my wife Hearthstone at Luther Village where [name removed] is now at physical therapy. A question to July about if they allowed hospice care to come in there got a negative answer — that it wasn’t needed was another disappointment.

My mother suffered a stroke in December and was hospitalized, We moved her to Edens Vista in Prospect Heights with much anticipation of a wonderful experience with all the hype we received from the social workers. Man, were we in for a horrible experience. The care was mediocre when it came down to involving my mother to go to activities. She would need assistance to get to the areas where the activities were held and more often than not, they would not come and get my mother to participate. She is an avid Catholic…

Full disclosure, my dad no longer lives there. He moved out on [date removed]. He got strong enough while living there to move back to assisted living at [name removed] in Deerfield. Dad worked really hard because he was motivated to get back to [community removed], which I didn't think was possible. He was able to get stronger because he took full advantage of the OT and PT services he received at Eden Vista. Overall experience at Eden Vista is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. With my brother being on a feeding tube, cannot rate the food. The apartment is small, but based on what I saw at other assisted living facilities, they're larger than most other places. I would give Eden Vista a positive rating.
