It has been two and half years since my wife was moved into Memory Care at Elk River Senior Living. She accepted the move from a different memory care facility immediately and said I think I'm going to like it here. She is very happy at Elk River Senior Living and she has never mentioned coming back home. She still participates in all of the activities and can't wait to tell me about them. My first impression of Elk River Senior Living is that it was sort of dark. It's not old, but I hated the carpeting there. It was like something from the 50s or 60s to me. The interior itself was not impressive. Otherwise, it seems like a nice place, and they have kept in contact with us too. Actually, they sent us a Christmas card. After the newness wore off, my mother has complained of significant internet issues, bad food in the dining facility, limited activities, mismanaged staff, and we've encountered rudeness with the front desk woman (Sherry or Sharon) on more than on occasion. Review for Elk River Senior Living

I have a nice apt. Thinking all places like this have some things that don't work so well but other than the expense, the turn over of aides, in MC, Assisted Living, I find this a pretty good place. I would give it a 7 out of 10. The 3 nurses are rigid in MC and Assisted. Didn't always work well with this family after the newness wore off.
