Beautiful facility but the care is far below expectations. We had problems with Nursing, Laundry, Nurse Aides being attentive, Administration not following through, and our Mom not getting bathed regularly or her hair washed. Beautiful facility but our family was not happy with our Mother’s care. Huge Disappointment

We thought we picked the best facility for our Mom. We were sorely disappointed. On her admission day, I asked the question of what happens when our Mom runs out of money? Do they accept Medicaid. I asked that question 6 times to administration and they never answered it once. Our Mom was in your care for a year and eight months and that question and if they accept Medicaid once she spent all her money in their facility was never addressed. I visited this facility

I went to look at Elmwood Assisted Living at the Shawhan. They have a good staff that is helpful and caring. It's nice if you like nostalgia, as it's a bit retro. They have weekly outings, a salon, an ice cream parlor, bingo, and exercise. The food was good.

I toured this community and it was great! I think it's probably a great place with price to match.

I visited this facility

I had been to Elmwood, and that is a wonderful place. I thought they were very caring. The people that I visited there had their own little suites. These folks were not as disabled as my parents were. It was less of a nursing facility. It was in the Shawhan hotel, which was a hotel in the early 1900s.
