PositiveGood respite stay for mom!
Apartment size was adequate size. Staff were excellent and very friendly and professional. We enjoyed being able to visit her and eat together in the dining hall.

I assume you know the management at Emerald Valley has changed. It is still transitioning to Sunrise, so things are a bit chaotic. The best one-word description of our experience is "disappointed." Many commitments have not been kept. If you wish further information, you can set up a call with me.

Positiveexcessive staff turnover. Food was great initially, after several staffing changes the food has declined. Continued price increases but quality in general has diminished from when our family member moved in. Hoping they will resolve their staffing issues, retaining quality staff members so they may return to the quality/level of service they had initially. Staff is usually prompt in responding to family questions or concerns.

Communication and overall experience was great in the beginning, under original management team. They had a complete mgt turnover and then raised prices at the same time they brought in new managers who knew -0- about my mother's condition. Over billing took weeks to resolve. Serious lack of communication during a norovirus outbreak. We complained and I did get a call from someone from a regional office who said all the right things but never followed up...

I would give all categories a 5. Been very happy. The Med techs are great & caring. Reception and med techs are very responsive to family requests. Food is very good. Everyone takes the time to know the residents names and meal habits.
