My mother has moved into Fairborn Assisted Living. It is relatively close to where she lived, and so all of her friends could come see her easily. She just likes the place. I like the convenience for her. They really love her and have welcomed her. There was just one hiccup with her medication, but we're pretty sure that's all straightened out now. We toured Fairborn Assisted Living. They were very friendly, and my sister was impressed with them. We went to the memory side, and they did not have any openings at the time, so she was on the waiting list. When we walked out of the building, she said that's where she wanted to be. All of us had a positive experience with them. We moved my mother into Fairborn Assisted Living in June & were deeply disappointed. The facility lacks professionalism & empathy. There are no nurses after 5 PM, so if your loved one needs medication at night, they’re out of luck. We had to put signs in her room to remind staff to help her out of her wheelchair. Often, they left her stranded for hours, even after pressing the call button. She could use a walker but staff frequently placed it out of reach, forcing her to try moving without help, which caused multip…

After a harrowing couple of years for my ill mother who passed July '23, my dad's safety, health, and quality of life took a sharp decline over the span of 8 months. He lost his wife of 54 years, and lost the desire to do anything including eating, good hygiene, and taking critical medications. My mom loves her apartment, the food is another story! They are low on help a lot, but all in all my mom likes it. We have had problems with them answering the phone, and doing her laundry, but she likes it and doesn't want to move. I like the separation of rooms in their apartment, I like that they have family night, the residents are very sweet there.

It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff is friendly, but I felt stretched thin. Response to calls for help were longer than I would have thought. Granted there are other residents and not every call can be met immediately. However if staffing was adequate the response time would be better.
