CriticalMy mother went in for help with eating and mobility so she could continue cancer treatment after an ER visit for diarrhea. In less than a month, she was malnourished and could not even sit up on her own. We repeatedly tried to find out what was going on to no avail. In 21 days, a doctor saw her once and PT 4 times. We got her back to the ER and in one day she could sit up and talk.

CriticalIf I could give this facility negative stars I would. My grandpa was transferred here and in less than a month in their care and he's gone. They broke several bones and refused to do X-rays. After he passed away I went to go pick up his belongings and one of the nurses said "oh he's not coming back huh". None of the nurses care here. They are all too busy on their phones. They had a dresser in front of the bathroom door so neither my grandpa or his roommate had access. While I was there one of t…

CriticalWe visited Fairhope Health & Rehab for my mom. The people there were extraordinarily helpful. They were kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, and probably the best people that I talked to. However, this facility is not anything close to adequate or at least not what I was looking for for my mother. The rooms were pretty sparse, small, and they made them share. It was like a shared hospital room. To be completely fair, the building was being rehabbed when I was there. There was a lot of building work going on and thi…

CriticalThis place is a dump. The staff are very nice, but the surroundings are dismal. Torn carpet. Funky ceiling stains. Dark curtains. Shared bathrooms without locks. Shower down the hall. Two thin pillows for the bed. Small thin towel and washcloth. Ive seen 1970s state psych hospitals that were more inviting.

CriticalMy step father is currently at the Harper Center in Tuscaloosa and they want to send him to this facility, so I made an appt. to tour the facility and I was shocked. The outside of the facility was horrible, looks like it is abandoned, no pride in the place. Then on the inside, there was an odor, the hallways were carpeted and had stains all over them. The patient rooms were horrible, something out of a 1970's Psyh. hospital. All the nurses stations had very limited staff if anyone was there at all. After the …

PositiveI was pleasantly surprised to find the level of care that they provide. It is an older facility, and has been remodeled to be bright and cheerful. I've observed the staff, and they are very attentive to the patients plus the doctor and nursing staff know each patient on a personal level. If I ask a question, they find the answer.
