I visited this facility

I visited Fairmont of Westlake's assisted living facility. The activities are nice, and they have a happy hour every Friday, which is also nice. They have a lot of entertainment, too. There's a doctor there 24/7, so I'll have the care. There is an exercise room there for exercising. There's also a big art room where they can do knitting, art, and all kinds of things. They even have a gardening club. I saw an apartment model, and it's not as big as my room now, but I'll be able to fit m…

Fairmont of Westlake

Staff is nice but not always consistent, several agency people that aren't as good as the regular staff. My dad was never able to do the activities, so no comment there. Food was ok. Rooms are nice. Sometimes took a long time for help to arrive (over 20 mins) but my dad needed more help than they were able to provide.

I visited this facility

Fairmont of Westlake was an older building. They have some private property around where you could walk, but they are not as big as the other places I've visited. The facility was OK though. It was not what I was looking for, but I think they're geared mostly for assisted living, so I think my expenses will be higher there. Their fee was even higher, although the facility itself was older and not as desirable as the others. I guess that's the way it is because they're catering mostly for assiste…

Our families experience

They brought us into the company with the impression they were close to accepting Medicaid. After we had spent all my Mother's money we were told they were no longer going through the Medicaid process. This forced us to leave and my mom was very happy there and thriving.
