My mother moved to Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation of DeSoto for long-term skilled nursing care. We chose it for her because it's close to home. I would say the facility is beautiful, but it offers poor care. They have a frequent turnover of administrators. Since we've been there, there have been two administrators and frequent high turnover of direct care staff. My mom developed a bedsore while under their care, which she never had. We're trying to move her again, and looking to try a place t…

CriticalThis nursing home shouldn't even be listed in the top of nursing home. I had a family member at this place and found the aids useless. They would be hiding in family gathering places on their cell phones. Up to 3 at a time. I witnessed an aid tell an RN that wasn't her hall and she wasn't going to the patient's room. The Director only gave lip service and nothing was accomplished. This aids are uncaring and only there to draw a paycheck.
