I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

If your loved one is in Skilled Care, be there for them every day. My relative was left alone to take his medication, his call light has been on the floor behind his wheelchair many times, and the staff are lounging around. The room has cracked walls with paint falling off, the floors in the tiny bathroom look like they have not been really cleaned in years. The food is almost always cold and unless you are in assisted living or independent it is brought to you on a tray like a hospital. Supplies in the little dini…

do not take your family here if you really care for them. first, when i took my mom to this place i was very worried because of the horror stories you hear about some of these places. my mom has Afib very badly and cant move on her own at the moment. i was assured they would give her everything she needs. i was told they would bring her out of the room to socialize because i told them she is not one to sit in a room alone. they assured me no problem. a week later, i find out that it is the opposite. my mom became d…

We visited The Florence Presbyterian Community but it was expensive. It's very nice, everything was beautiful. The facilities are beautiful and the activities were good, the cost was just too high. The rooms in the memory care were nice, they were gorgeous inside, and the landscaping was beautiful. They had a dining area where you could choose what you wanted. Their staff appeared to be OK.

The staff is very friendly and always smiling and asking if they can do anything for you or your loved one. I can sleep at night now knowing my dad is well taken care of and wants for nothing. I know that if he has any health issues they will contact me immediately. His being at home alone was not an option once the falls and injuries were a regular thing for him. I couldn't bare the thought of coming to check on him at this house and finding him injured or worse. I am so grateful that the Presbyterian is ther…

Florence Presbyterian is a well-run community, except the price is significantly higher than others. The staff is professional, however, it's one of those places that base the price upon the level of care you need. The location is good and the community is clean, but the price was higher, and I didn't like their level of care pricing.
