I visited this facility

We just decided on going with the Floyd Senior Center. Everything was great. We liked the location and we like the relaxed feel. It wasn't formal or anything like that. The staff was friendly, relaxed, and informative. We liked the condition of this place better than any of the others. It's clean, fresh, bright, and friendly.

My sister Diane was in need of assisted living, with a care plan that would address blood sugar testing twice a day w insulin given in the morning. The entire staff was and is very welcoming. A very thorough interview is completed with a huge focus on the residents personal & medical needs. The physical layout of the home is user friendly, with dual entrances to a beautiful courtyard. Nice place. Very nice staff. Was a level of care we weren't quite ready to put Mom in yet. Was a little out of budget, and didn't accept Medicare in case that was a need later on.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad is here I have chosen them because the proximity to my house is the first big benefit, appearance is important, and the friendliness of the staff. He has only been there for a few weeks now. The staff are very good. I have been with him on multiple occasions when he is at the dinner table and so I have an idea about what he has been served. There is a courtyard there. We went to look here. The staff was very good at touring us around. He tried to accommodate us as much as he could. But they didn't offer the care that my mom needed. It was a very nice facility, very home-like. The people there seemed very happy and content. I've heard the food is really good there. The rooms were nice and clean. They were more like studios. They take them shopping and to their doctor's appointments. They have activities. They had a beauty salon, which was very nice. They do it once…

Visited in 2019 and again recently. Things are worse. Staff was rude. Community fee was too high and rent was outrageous for what they offer.
