I visited this facility

We visited Friends House. We liked it very much, but one of their major interests is being sure that people behave in a community atmosphere. The rooms are very small. My brother would need some more room to himself for his art, but it was a very nice atmosphere. I like that it was not a fancy place. It felt very homey. It didn't have chandeliers. It was very thoughtfully run. The people there were very thoughtful and kind, and they seemed to really be very dedicated to taking care of the people. He may soon n…

My meeting and tour with Korina at Friends House was extremely informative and helpful, and I would highly recommend getting this in-person look. Korina is also very accessible for any follow-up questions you may have. An old co-worker of mine has already moved to Friends House, and is extremely happy living in the Friends House community.

I recently toured Friends House. I like their proximity to walking paths, their shuttle service to medical appointments, airport, etc, their friendly staff and park-like setting. It is very comforting to me that their buy-in is pro-rated for a refund should I want or need to move within the first years, but it is particularly comforting that their policy for charging for assisted living costs is done in 15-minute increments rather than the more common 4-hour increments. I have no idea what services , nor when, nor …

I gave Friends House a "fully refundable" $1000 deposit to be put on their waitlist. Two years later, I decided to move out-of-state to be near family, but Friends House kept my deposit. It was only after I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against Friends House that they refunded my $1000. I would not recommend Covia who runs Friends House to anyone under any circumstance.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Ten years ago my aging parents moved to an independent living cottage at Friends House. They made numerous friends and were readily welcomed into the community by caring staff as well as neighbors. The cottages are lovely, and the grounds are park-like with numerous trees and flowers. Each cottage has its own garden which residents can plant as they choose, including vegetables. As the years went by my father died and my Mom remained at Friends house, moving into a 1-bedroom apartment. A year ago she had to transit…

The staff at Friends House was really helpful and nice. They have a garden. We got to see the apartments, and they were great and of a nice size. I didn’t like the dining room, though. The general atmosphere was good, and the people were friendly. It looked like they had fun things to do.
