PositiveMy husband is at Gardens of North Port. I would recommend them because they help me and they're helping my husband now. He has only been there for a week, and I go every day for 3 or 4 hours because I'm trying to get him to adjust because he has a little bit of dementia from his Parkinson's, which is a little bit more complicated. They're very caring. It's assisted living, but they have step-up care. They don't leave you in your room. They take you out to your breakfast, lunch, and din…

CriticalNo activities, poor food choices and they run out of food. The activities director is always hanging on the residents or the staff. The men are hugged and kissed to much.

CriticalMy mom is at Gardens of North Port now, and their services are probably the utmost terrible that they can be. They're supposed to be following her doctor's food recommendations for her diverticulitis, but they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing at all. She's not supposed to have anything with seeds or anything that would cause her food to go back up. The facility is all in one level, which is a good thing. It's spread out quite a bit. They will not let the residents walk ar…

PositiveI went to the Gardens of North Port to take a tour. It was wonderful, it just didn't have as many options as the other place did for Mom's situation. I toured with the director and she showed me a couple of the rooms, and they were great. I didn't have anything bad to say about it. It was a large studio apartment.

PositiveThe Gardens of North Port was very nice. I was there for breakfast. They kept them busy in the game room where they had all sorts of games and a TV room and a computer room in the same area. The food was very good, and the dining room was nice.

PositiveMy sister-in-law and brother-in-law have been residents of The Gardens of North Port for about two months after a bad experience at a local assisted living facility. We assessed numerous assisted living facilities in Southwest Florida and then visited about 10 facilities before we selected Gardens of North Port. The management and key staff have been outstanding. They help my in-laws in so many ways. My detailed assessment had an important criteria of the nurse staff. I tried the meals in other facilities and I hav…
