PositiveOur overall experience with GenCare Tacoma at Point Ruston has been very good, but I must give nursing management a low rating. On the positive side, the community is in an excellent location, with shops, restaurants, and Commencement Bay within close walking distance. The facility is clean. Staff are friendly. It has a great café with tasty, healthy options. They have an aerobics pool and a well-equipped gym staffed by highly qualified professionals. Assisted-living care aides are caring and patient. There are ple…

PositiveThe onboarding experience was seamless, smooth and comforting. Staff was engaging, smiling and happy at all times. But even more was the large number of tenants who were well dressed and engaged in all kinds of activities each time we visited. As well they have tenants who are badged as concierges that help all new tenants fit in with ease. The environment everywhere is top level 10 and the atmosphere best of all place visited in either Washington State or Texas. Every time family has been there to visit Mom all th…

PositiveI have been very impressed with Gen Care communities. The Point Ruston facility is modern and beautiful. The range of services and resources available to their residents is exceptional. This area of Point Ruston feels like a small bustling city with many shops and restaurants that residents would likely enjoy exploring.

PositiveWe went to GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston. It was beautiful. My mom and I had a great lunch there. We loved it. However, my mom would not be able to afford it. Also, it is not like a place that will help you go on to Medicaid. That's not part of their program. We went to see the whole place and see what it was like. The staff showed us everything. The whole system looks like it's an amazing place for people who can still enjoy a bit of life while they're older. The staff seemed sincerely happy to …

PositiveI toured GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston. It's quite expensive, but they offer a lot, and it feels like a hotel walking in there. The residents seemed very happy, and the people who worked there seemed more than competent and informed. They have a dining area and a nice pool. The rooms were great, clean, well laid out, and had everything a person would want, but I felt a little claustrophobic. They have a library, a movie room, a fitness center, and personal trainers. The place is nice. The food was great. T…

PositiveWe love everything about GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston. The staff is fantastic. They look out for my mom. The facility is beautiful and they do an excellent job. They have good activities. They try their very best to keep their minds active and going, and that's very difficult in memory care. If there's one thing that I didn't really care that much for, that's the food. I fully admit that part of that is that my mom is very, very particular about food and her old age. So, the food's bee…
