PositiveMost of the staff are very engaged and patient. The administration turned over quite a bit, but each administrator that came also seemed engaged and wanting to make things a little better. It's hard to gauge the overall culture of the facility since it just opened and they have very few residents, so I don't think that they're able to do some of the larger community and social things that you would see with more residents. The meals were a bit challenging as well. My mom has specific sort of keto diabetic requirem…

Critical#1. Rate 2. They started out ok but the turnover of unqualified staff was constant. #2. 5 It as very clean and cute decor. #3. Rate 2. Staff was nice but didn't stay long. Some days just one person was there. But there was only about 5 patients in the entire 32 bed facility. #4. Rate 2. She wasn't cleaned or bathed often enough because there wasn't enough staff to get her into her lift and into the shower. Always seemed to have a diaper wash. She told me she always felt dirty. She is only 67 yrs old with MS and…

PositiveThe overall experience has been good. The facility is clean and well maintained. Everyone is very friendly. My friend is only 66 and has progressive Multiple Sclerosis. She's happy and the staff will interact with her since she in ok mentally. They are very good with the care and keep in touch with my friends needs. She does say the food is a bit boring. There are not too many activities, but they will play games with her that she enjoys. All other the places were more expensive. It's only a bit cheaper for …

PositiveGlen Park at Glendale - Mariposa St. was a nice facility. It's clean. The staff was very nice. They showed me the whole facility and what they have to offer, the activities that go on there, and the surrounding area. I asked about what type of area it was and also they were talking about field trips that are eventually going to start pretty soon with the residents there. They were nice people. The rooms were pretty nice but basic. I was looking at a suite for my parents possibly, so they could have the same ro…

CriticalI toured Glen Park at Glendale - Mariposa St for my mom. The rooms are very tiny. It felt like an institution, and it felt like the people there are way old. There's no activity. That's the impression I got. There's just a common area in the front of the reception with a TV. The staff was helpful and she's doing her job.

PositiveMy parents are at Glen Park at Glendale, and it's going great. They have adjusted to this better than the assisted living they had been at previously, and the staff seems more attentive. Overall, it's very good. It's very clean and very well kept. It has a Hollywood theme with famous old movies off of the wall, and it gives them a lot to talk about. The room that they got was immaculate, and the food was pretty good. It felt homey.
