We absolutely loved the assisted living community of Golden Pond in Sacramento. We looked at the apartment, all the facilities they have, all the classes they offer, and the food menu, and we just absolutely loved it. We passed by all the ladies and gentlemen doing their activities, and they stopped us and say that it's a great place to live. My mother just moved into Golden Pond 2.5 months ago and has described living there as “lovely”. It’s a very friendly place to live. The staff are very attentive and the services are good. My mom has been a resident at Golden pond retirement community receiving assisted living support for over a year. She was recently hospitalized and went to skilled nursing and has finally returned home. And home is what this place has come to be. So the building may be a little older it's charming and homey. Her apartment is a full- sized one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen minus a stove. However with three meals a day she doesn't need her kitchen beyond the refrigerator and microwave. So I contacted A PLACE FOR MOM to get a recommendation of places near them. Golden Pond was recommended. The place was bright, clean, friendly, not stinky, and most importantly to my mom, they had a 2 bedroom apartment available. The food in the dining room is delicious.
