Parking remains a sore point, per newer residents the scope of the issue isn't well represented. The services we have had for years are disappearing i.e. cable/internet no longer provided in rent, no longer have an activity director,, the elevators are becoming notoriously unreliable-today 9/24 the elevators in the central and south towers have both been down all morning. No parking, it's pretty horrible situation to get booted. Especially if your handicapped or have a caregiver. Even when you pay for a spot it may not be available to you. Plumbing, Elevator, Gnats and dog poop issues. Wheelchair users should consider the first floor. It's low income affordable, you get what you pay for kinda thing. There is an amazing PT staff here and a lot of activities. My favorite thing is the lil garden plot I have here it saves my soul and my sanity.

OLD ELEVATORS MULTIPLE FLOORS NOT WORKING

I have an affordable apartment with great views. The in-house PT staff are the best I've ever had. Here's the bad...the elevators and electricity keep going out, so if you live on the upper floors and are in a wheelchair or walker, YOU CANNOT get back in your apartment. I'm in a wheelchair on oxygen there are no chair lifts on their stairs. Just this week, I got upset as I needed oxygen and my meds, and told the Manager [name removed] this. Her reply was very nonchalant, she kept flipping through her phone the ent…

I visited this facility

Golden West was very nice. They didn't have three meals a day, but they had a grill that you could pay to eat any meal. The rooms were smaller and darker. They didn't have as many activities either. Plus, there were more limits when you move in there. You had to be low-income to get in, and you had to prove your income. I wasn't that impressed with it.

I visited this facility

The studio room that I saw at Golden West Senior Residence was clean, a pretty good size, and had a beautiful view. The kitchen was tiny, but that was OK. I saw a big sandwich board with the activities of the day, and it was always pretty filled up. The dining area was large and available most of the day. The food was OK, but it was not awesome. They have a library, a garden, a rooftop terrace, and lots of nice spaces.

The facility is great but there is very inadequate parking for handicap residents.If you do not bring a car, you will be alright. If you do bring a car, you may have days when there is no space to park in.
