I would tell them it's a very nice facility with friendly and helpful staff. And compared to [community removed], where my Mom was before Granite Gate, it is a good value. It was more affordable, larger rooms with views and the food is a better quality and selections for each meal. I would recommend Granite Gate to others. So far, my Mom and I are happy with our choice. Of course nothing is perfect, but it is a big improvement over Willow Wind. They have been short staffed in the dining area and there are some hicc…

CriticalStaff is nice, but Internet and HVAC is very poor
The staff is friendly and nice, but the internet malfunctions often, which could be a health and safety hazard, and their heating and air conditioning is very antiquated (using an old boiler and system must be manually switched from heat to cool every winter and summer). It appears that management does not invest in repairs or improvements at all. High turnover, but staff is nice.

Entire staff at GG were fantastic. Easy to work with. Still keep in touch with [name removed]. Care staff were all great. Might add individual housekeeping could've been better. But I know it's an ongoing battle, Attention to detail like making sure they have water,, etc. My Mom was only there a month, She has no recollection of it.

Granite Gate was amazing. Between the staff, who were very kind and always there for you and the food which was soooo good, my mom loved it there. She has sadly passed, but I would recommend Granite Gate to others. I'd live there myself.

It's a nice enough place if you are TOTALLY INDEPENDENT. Otherwise even if we had paid the extra [amount removed] she would not have received the care needed. They just don't have the staff & caregivers for that many residents. Sad
